The Brief
George Rakas from Skytec Rentals Inc. contacted me to breath new life into his company’s website. The website was over 5 years old and customers had begun to complain about how difficult it was to use. The staff had also noticed that Google was showing a message that said, “This website might be hacked” on the search results page.
The Approach
Once I visited the site is was clear to see that it had been hacked. The first goal was to clear out the infection, increase security and get rid of Google’s “hacked” message. Once I took care of the malicious code, I installed a few extra security precautions to make sure that the hackers couldn’t return to re-infect the site.
For the website design I created an attractive responsive user friendly design. It featured category pages that allow customers to sort through the various lift options available based on lift type and company, product pages with image slideshows, product spec sheet downloads, a complete inventory list and an interactive form to request rental quotes.

The Result
Skytec Rental’s main goal for the website was to make it easier for their clients and potential customers to contact them for rental pricing information. With the new responsive design and easy to use ‘Quick Quote’ form that goal was achieved. The ‘Quick Quote’ form also had the added benefit of giving sales associates more information to use to help their clients find the perfect machine rental for their needs.
